Editorial Leadership
The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the scientific and editorial content of EJSOFS and delegates manuscript handling to qualified editors where appropriate. Editorial roles, institutional affiliations and countries or regions are published on the Editorial Team page.

Editorial Freedom
Individual editorial decisions remain the responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief and authorised editors acting under the published policies. The publisher supports the Journal’s scientific mission but does not direct editors to accept or reject individual manuscripts for political, commercial, institutional or personal reasons. Any disagreement between the publisher and editorial leadership will be managed in a manner that protects editorial independence and the scientific record.

Sponsorship Partnerships and Advertising
Editorial decisions are independent of sponsorship, advertising, society activities and commercial relationships. Sponsors and advertisers have no right to influence manuscript selection, peer review, editorial decisions or the conclusions of published articles. Sponsored scientific content must be clearly identified. Advertising, if accepted, must be distinguishable from editorial content and does not constitute endorsement by EJSOFS, its editors or its publisher.

Editorial Board Appointments and Conflicts
Editors are appointed on the basis of relevant scientific or clinical expertise. Editors must disclose relevant conflicts of interest and must not handle manuscripts when impartiality could reasonably be questioned. Manuscripts authored by editors or Editorial Board members are assigned to an independent editor and undergo independent review.

Complaints concerning editorial independence or governance may be submitted to editorial@ejsofs.com. Complaints involving the Editor-in-Chief will be reviewed by an independent senior editor or appropriate representative of the publisher who was not involved in the matter.

Policy Review
The Journal reviews its governance arrangements and public information periodically.
