​The European Journal of Stomatology, Oral and Facial Surgery (EJSOFS) is an international, peer-reviewed, Diamond Open Access scientific journal dedicated to the advancement of knowledge in stomatology, oral medicine, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and related disciplines of the head and neck.

The Journal publishes original research articles, clinical studies, systematic and narrative reviews, clinical and technical papers, study protocols, technical notes, case reports, editorials, correspondence and other scholarly content relevant to its scope. The Journal welcomes multidisciplinary and international contributions that advance knowledge, clinical practice, education and research in its fields of interest.

EJSOFS operates a double-anonymous peer-review process for peer-reviewed content and bases editorial decisions on scientific quality, methodological soundness, ethical integrity, originality and relevance to the Journal’s scope.

The Journal publishes in English and is intended for an international readership.

The Journal is published by Sociedade Portuguesa de Estomatologia e Cirurgia Orofacial- Associação dos Médicos Estomatologistas Portugueses (SPECO_AMEP) and has been published since 2024, succeeding the "Revista da Associação dos Médicos Estomatologistas Portugueses" founded in 2002 by Dr. Manuel Falcão to continue the legacy of the historic "Jornal da Estomatologia" published since 1953 under the visionary leadership of Dr. José Dias. It is a Diamond Open Access journal: all content is freely available and authors are not charged submission fees, Article Processing Charges, page charges or other mandatory publication fees.

EJSOFS publishes one volume annually, with two issues per year since 2026 (one issue annually in 2024–2025). Articles are published continuously within each issue following editorial acceptance and production. Issues are not currently tied to fixed calendar semesters.
